My local shop had a 50% off sale and the line was just people arguing about the best Robin.

Spent 45 minutes listening to a guy say 'Tim Drake is the only logical choice' while someone else kept yelling 'Dick Grayson or GTFO'. Anyone else's shop get weirdly intense over discounts?

Honestly this happens everywhere now. People turn tiny choices into full on identity battles. Saw two neighbors nearly come to blows over which brand of trash bags was better last week. Something about a sale just flips a switch in people's brains. They forget they're just trying to save three bucks on cereal.

Was it at least a fun argument to watch?

What's wrong with a little passion?

Remember that cereal sale last month? Do you think it's really about the money, or does picking a side in those little fights make people feel like they're part of something bigger?
