My longbox gave out and comics hit the floor
My cheap plastic longbox cracked right down the middle last Saturday when I was flipping through my Uncanny X-Men run. Lost three issues to bent corners before I caught them. Anybody switch to those cardboard short boxes from BCW or do you just reinforce the old ones?

Nah man I'm gonna push back on this. BCW cardboard boxes are fine for short term storage but they're basically glorified pizza boxes. Bend and sag after a year or two if you live anywhere with humidity. I've been using the same plastic snap-tite bins from Container Store for like eight years now. They're not comic specific but they fit bags and boards perfect. Cost like ten bucks each and I dropped one down a flight of stairs once with zero damage. Cardboard bends and tears and that's the whole problem you're already having. Just get something tougher and stop throwing money at cheap boxes.

Boxes are boxes, but you still gotta ask yourself why the plastic one gave out in the first place? Pretty sure that's user error, lol.

...and honestly are bent corners really that big of a deal? I mean yeah it stinks when it happens but we're talking about a few issues from a run that's been reprinted a million times. If it was like a Hulk 181 then sure be upset but most stuff in a longbox is filler anyways. I see people online acting like a spine tick is a tragedy and I just don't get it. Aren't we supposed to be reading these things?
