My vacation to a famous comic shop in another town made me see fan events differently
I always thought comic fans were kinda nerdy and kept to themselves. Last summer, I took a road trip to that big comic store in Austin. Watching people of all ages geek out together over old issues was eye-opening. It made me realize that fandom is more about community than just collecting stuff. Now I plan trips around cons and signings, lol.

Those Austin comic fans are secretly extroverts.

It's true, those groups get really social.

Yeah, start small with local meetups. The big cons can feel like a lot if you're new to that crowd.
