That one week in January where my pull list doubled because of a single variant cover drop

I walked into my local shop on a Tuesday and the owner handed me a stack of 14 issues he'd set aside for me because the new foil cover came in and somehow I'd forgotten to adjust my holds, which meant I blew $85 on stuff I didn't even want just to keep the set complete. Has anyone else had a shop owner just assume you're collecting a whole line without asking first?

Right? Mine tried to sell me the extended warranty on a bag of apples. Almost laughed in her face.
