The guy at the counter in Cleveland laughed at me for bagging and boarding
I finally broke down and started bagging and boarding my floppies after years of just stacking them in a short box, and the dude at the counter at my shop in Cleveland actually laughed when I asked for a pack of 100. He told me I was wasting my money because 'nobody cares about that stuff anymore, it's all about the trades.' I almost put the bags back. But three months later I went to sell a few doubles from my pull and the owner offered me $40 for a stack that he would have given me $12 for if they had been raw. The difference was just that they were clean, in a bag, and not bent. So yeah, the guy at the counter was wrong, and I'm annoyed I listened to him for as long as I did. Now I'm wondering if the same thing applies to my old Marvel Premiere issues I've been ignoring in the closet. Has anyone here actually seen a real price bump from doing this consistently, or did I just get lucky with one guy?
