Why does nobody warn you that Wednesday new comic day at my local shop is a total madhouse
I walked into Phantom Comics on 5th in Austin last Wednesday at 4pm thinking I'd grab my pulls and be out in 5 minutes, but there were 40 people crammed in there because a variant cover drop turned into a feeding frenzy. I stood in line for 35 minutes while two guys argued over the last copy of a foil cover, and I finally just put my whole stack back on the shelf and left. Now I only go at 10am on Thursday when it's dead quiet, and I've never once had a problem since. Does anyone else's shop turn into a zoo on new release day or is mine just cursed?
