Question about using a new underwater epoxy on a rig job

I was patching a small crack on a platform leg in the Gulf last week and grabbed a tube of Aquamend from the supply kit. Mixed it up like normal, but the stuff set way faster than I expected, maybe 5 minutes tops. Had to scramble to get it in place before it hardened in the glove. Learned to always do a small test batch with new materials topside first. Anyone else have a go-to brand for quick underwater fixes that gives you more working time?

Ugh, been there. That fast set is a nightmare. Honestly, I stick with Splash Zone for anything that needs more than a minute to work with.

Tried adding a drop of glycerin to slow it down.
