TIL a hard lesson about trusting a new dive computer over my gauges on a 150ft wreck job
I had to choose between following the decompression stops on my brand new wrist unit or the readings from my backup console, and picking the computer nearly gave me the bends because it had a faulty depth sensor that wasn't showing in its pre-dive check.

Man, my buddy's backup computer once glitched and showed him at the surface while he was still at 60 feet. Scared him straight about trusting his gauges.

Imagine seeing surface depth while still down there. That's the kind of glitch that makes you double check everything. Your buddy learned the hard way.

Yeah, that's why I always cross-check with my analog depth gauge before making any moves. A glitch like that can mess with your head if you don't have a physical backup. It's just not worth betting your safety on a single digital readout.
