A customer in Phoenix taught me to always check the simple stuff first
I was sure this guy's laptop had a bad motherboard because it wouldn't turn on. He watched me for a minute and quietly said, 'My old one did that when the charger went bad.' I plugged in a different power adapter and it booted right up. Anyone else get saved by a customer's random guess?

Honestly seems like basic troubleshooting to me lol. People act like it's some huge revelation when the obvious fix works.

Yeah but that "obvious fix" isn't always obvious to everyone... what's basic for you might be totally new to someone else. I've seen people get stuck on simple stuff for hours just because they didn't know where to start. When it finally clicks for them, that relief is real.

Oh man, I used to be totally that person who rolled their eyes at that stuff. But honestly, you're right, seeing it click for someone is way more rewarding than I ever expected.
