Bought a cheap thermal camera attachment for my phone, it actually works
I got one of those $80 IR attachments for my Android off Amazon to find a hot spot in a wall. Found a loose breaker connection that was roasting the panel before it became a problem. Saved me a likely electrician visit that would have run way more. The image quality is rough but for quick diagnostics it does the job. Anyone else use a phone thermal cam for home and shop work?

Nah, those cheap ones can't see through most studs, so I'd trust a pro before trusting that phone thing.
