Found a weird grounding issue at a client's old house last week

I was troubleshooting a random reboot problem on a Dell Optiplex in this 1920s house. Turns out the outlet had no ground at all and the case was carrying a small AC voltage. Has anyone else run into funky electrical stuff in older buildings?

Ground's overrated. Old wiring did fine for decades without it.

Feel you @ward.kim that tingle is no joke, scary how folks just lived with it.

Gotta agree with @elliotm57 kinda lol but also that little tingle when you touch the case is your body being the ground path. Always makes me wonder how people just ignored that stuff back then, like it was just part of life.
