Hot take: That coffee shop in Austin where every surface was a different reclaimed wood...
I went to this place called Fleet on South Congress last week and counted 7 different wood types just on the bar alone. Has anyone else noticed clients asking for that mismatched look now or is it just me?

Man, tell me about it! @kai_webb91, I'm curious though - when you see that look in Portland shops, does it feel like they actually put thought into the wood choices, or is it just whatever scraps they grabbed from the bin? I keep wondering if this trend is really about craftsmanship or just people trying to look artsy on a budget. Because counting 7 different woods on one bar sounds like a collection, not a design choice.
