I chose refurbished parts over new for my last build and got roasted for it
My last client paid me to upgrade their office PC, and I went with a refurbished SSD and RAM from a local shop in Austin instead of buying new. Everyone on this sub says refurbished is a ticking time bomb, but the parts cost $80 less and have been running solid for 8 months now. I tested the drives beforehand and they had under 50 hours of use, so it felt like a smart call for a budget build. Has anyone else had good luck with refurbished parts, or am I just lucky so far?

Dude, I'm with you, people roast anything that saves a few bucks.

Right? It's wild. People just love to nitpick.

@roberts.leo but why do people care so much how others spend their money?
