Foreman said my joints were too tight, took me 2 days to see it
We were pouring a 40x60 slab outside Tulsa and he called me over, said I was burning up trowel edges on the expansion lines. I thought he was nitpicking until I watched him cut one with a margin trowel and it moved like butter. Anyone else get schooled by a guy who's been doing this since the 80s?

You ever spend two days patting yourself on the back for something an old timer can fix in thirty seconds? My foreman watched me fight a control joint for an hour before he took the trowel, flipped it sideways, and said "you're pressing like it owes you money." I still check my expansions twice now, mostly cause I'm scared he'll make me redo it with a level and a stopwatch.
