Just realized how long it takes to fix a bull float that's warping on you

I spent three hours yesterday trying to get my bull float to stop dipping on one side during a driveway pour in Phoenix. Turned out the handle was slightly bent from sitting in the sun last summer, not the float itself (which I checked like four times). Took a pipe wrench and some patience to straighten it out, but I lost half the morning messing with it. Has anyone else had a handle warp on them in the heat?

Wait, you actually had a handle get hot enough to warp in the sun? That's wild, I never even thought that could happen to the handle itself.

Did you notice the handle getting hot to the touch before it started warping, or did it just show up out of nowhere?

Yeah it seems wild but once you start noticing it, stuff getting messed up by heat just happens way more than people realize... @wyatt135 probably never thought twice about handles melting either. Same thing with dashboards cracking or plastic trim fading, it's all connected to how hot things actually get in direct sun. Nobody thinks about it until it's too late and then you're stuck replacing parts that should hold up longer. Funny how we take stuff for granted until it warps right in front of us.
