My concrete pour went sour when I trusted the fast-set mix everyone loves

It set up way too fast for a large slab, and we had to rush the finish. Now I stick to regular mix for big jobs.

Fast-set mix works great for big jobs too. Just have your team ready and move fast. Saves a ton of time compared to regular mix.

Isn't it wild how this idea pops up everywhere? Honestly, I see the same thing with fast-set mix, where prep work makes the whole job smoother. Tbh, it's like when you pack your gym bag the night before or lay out tools for a home repair. Ngl, skipping that setup feels easier at the moment, but it always costs you more time later. That rush to keep up when things move fast just stresses everyone out. So yeah, getting ready first isn't just for concrete, it's a lifesaver for daily stuff too.

Oh man, that reminds me of the time we tried to rush a patio pour before a storm hit. Let's just say it didn't dry even.

Shake my head at that advice. Fast-set on a big pour means rushing and risking a bad finish. Stick to regular mix to save the headache.
