My garage floor coat dried with streaks and I can't unsee it

Decided to put a new finish on my garage floor myself to save some cash. Bought a decent two part epoxy kit and followed the instructions to the letter. The first half went on smooth, but then my roller started to shed bits into the wet coat. Had to stop and swap it out, which left a clear line where I paused. Now the whole surface has these faint roller marks and a few rough spots where the bits stuck. It sets under the cars so only I notice, but it bugs me every time I pull in. Should have just used a fresh roller from the start or maybe hired it out. Live and learn, I guess, but my pride took a hit on this one.

That roller shed is almost always from using a cheap cover. A light buff with some auto rubbing compound can sometimes knock down those rough bits. You'll stop seeing the streaks long before they actually go away.

I believed for years that streaks only came from bad wax jobs. Your point about cheap covers totally explains my truck's old marks.

Check if the kit instructions mentioned a specific nap length for the roller. A lot of those streaks happen when the roller cover is too thick and holds too much product.

My neighbor's epoxy job has streaks that look like modern art. He says it adds character, but we all know it's just a bad roll. At least yours is hidden under cars, so you can pretend it's perfect.
