Nearly cost us the whole pour on a driveway in Bend when the mix came in hot
We were finishing a 24 by 30 driveway off Third Street when the third truck rolled in and that mix was cooking at 95 degrees before we even got it out of the chute. I had the finisher cut a control joint early and got two guys misting the slab while I called the plant to slow the next load down. What almost got us was waiting on the bull float too long, and by the time we moved it the edge was already setting up on us. We pulled it off but the finish behind the garage shows a little more tooling than I like, so has anyone dealt with hot loads like that and found a better way to buy yourself time?
