Pro tip: I bought a $200 laser level for a garage floor and it changed how I set forms

I used to spend forever with a string line and a 4-foot level trying to get my forms perfect. The laser let me set the whole perimeter in about 20 minutes and the pour was dead flat. Has anyone else switched to lasers for basic slab work, or do you stick with the old methods?

My last eye exam felt like a negotiation. The doctor kept asking if I could see the smaller letters and I just had to admit I was guessing half the time. I'm basically paying for a prescription based on vibes at this point.

Honestly, the best part for me is the lack of guesswork. My old eyes aren't what they used to be, and that clear red line just takes the stress out of it.
