Rant: my bull float handle snapped mid-pour on a driveway in Phoenix yesterday

I was about 30 feet into a 60 foot driveway and the aluminum handle just gave out at the threads... had to finish the rest with a hand float on my knees in 105 degree heat. Anyone else had a handle fail on them?

Totally feel your pain! My handle snapped on a 90 foot sidewalk in Tucson last July. I was maybe 40 feet in and the threads just stripped out clean, no warning at all. I ended up crawling the rest of the way with a small margin trowel and a sponge, sweating through my shirt in 110 degrees. Worst part was the concrete was already setting up fast, so I had to work twice as hard to get a decent finish. That was the day I switched to wooden handles for good, no more of that cheap aluminum garbage for me.

At least you didn't have to crawl 90 feet...
