Rented a $75 laser level for a driveway form job, totally unnecessary
Thought I'd be slick and rented a rotary laser for grading forms last Friday in Columbus. Set it up, spent an hour fiddling with the receiver, then realized my old string line and line level got it done in 20 minutes flat. Did the rental place at least refund the unopened battery pack, or am I stuck eating that too? Has anyone else burned cash on fancy gear when the basic stuff works fine?
