That week in Buffalo where everything went sideways at once
Last October we had a 4,000 square foot commercial slab pour scheduled for a Tuesday in Buffalo, and the weather held, but the ready mix truck showed up 40 minutes late with the wrong slump. We tried to work it anyway, and by 10 AM the whole crew was fighting sticky mud while the finisher's power trowel died right there on the fresh surface. I had to call my buddy Mike to bring his spare from three towns over, and we lost almost two hours waiting. Anyone else have a job where one bad batch of concrete made you question the whole trade?
