Tried a new spray-on curing compound versus the old bucket method on a 4000 sq ft slab

The boss wanted to save time so we sprayed it on, but half of it flashed off in the sun before it could set right, leaving patchy curing and a couple hairline cracks. I'm back to rolling it on thick from a bucket, even if it takes an extra hour. Anyone have a spray rig that actually works in direct summer heat?

My old apartment complex tried a quick sealant spray on the parking lot. I mean, it looked fine for a week, then you could see every single tire track and it just peeled up. Feels like that "faster is better" idea always skips a step somewhere.

Disagree about spray rigs being unreliable. Used a high-volume low-pressure system with a wax-based compound on a hot warehouse pad last month, and it cured perfectly. The problem @juliarodriguez described sounds more like a cheap product issue, not a method one. Sometimes faster is just fine with the right gear.

That sun is a killer on spray applications. Seen the same thing happen on a driveway job last July, total waste of material. A rig with a really fine mist and a retarder mixed in might stand a chance, but rolling it on is just more reliable.
