Unpopular opinion: I tried a 24-hour wet cure on a driveway in Phoenix and it cracked less than my usual 7-day method

I mean, everyone says to keep it wet for a week, especially in dry heat. But last July, we had a tight schedule on a 4000 sq ft pour and only kept it soaked for a full day before sealing it with that Cureseal WB. I was sure it would be a mess, but the check a month later showed way fewer shrinkage cracks than the job we did the week before with the longer cure. Maybe the rapid initial set in the heat did something different? Has anyone else had a good result from a shorter wet cure in a hot place?

Yeah, that "big Tucson pour" story is exactly what I'm talking about. We did a similar thing on a patio in Mesa, sprayed it down hard for maybe 36 hours max in that 110-degree heat. The finish was way smoother, almost no plastic shrinkage cracks. I'm starting to think the super fast set in that oven just locks it in different.

Honestly, we had the same thing happen on a big Tucson pour last summer.

Just keep it wet, the fast set really helps lock in that finish.
