Wasted $300 on a sealer that turned my driveway yellow

Last spring I bought this high end acrylic sealer from the supply house, thinking I was doing my client a favor. Applied it on a perfect 70 degree day like the can said, and within 2 months the whole thing had this nasty yellow tint from sun exposure. Had to grind it all off and redo the job out of my own pocket. Anyone else had a sealer fail on them like that?

and thats actually not as crazy as it sounds @west.casey. i had a similar thing happen to a buddy of mine years ago when he used a water based stain on some pressure treated wood. turns out the copper in the treatment can react with something in the stain and turn it pinkish, especially if the wood was still a bit wet. he left it for a few days thinking it would fade but nope, had to sand the whole thing down and start over. i always tell people now to let pressure treated lumber dry out for at least a month before you even think about staining it. your mileage may vary but that saved me a headache down the road.

Wow I read that pink stain can happen with certain wood treatments @west.casey.
