After a UFO conference in Sedona, I started checking the EXIF data on every 'proof' photo I see online.

I watched a speaker debunk three viral photos in a row by showing the metadata was from a stock image site, so now I always download and check the file properties before I believe anything.

Remember reading a book as a kid and picturing the characters totally wrong, then seeing the movie and it ruining it forever? That's the vibe @nguyen.blake is giving off. My brain just locks in that first image and can't let go.

Does it count if it's not even a person but like a place? @nancyjones I feel you, I gave up on book movies after the Golden Compass did my brain wrong. I had this whole image of the armored bear as this big shaggy friendly lump, and then the movie made him look all sleek and terrifying. My childhood memory still fights the movie version every time I think about it.
