Hit 1,000 posts in this sub and noticed a weird pattern
I hit 1,000 total posts and comments here on Friday and went back through my history out of boredom. What surprised me is that around 80% of my replies were to threads about cover-ups, not the wacky stuff like lizard people or flat earth. I think I gravitate to the ones with paper trails, like the 1967 USS Liberty incident or the Tuskegee experiments, because those have real documents you can dig into. The wild theories get clicks, but the grounded ones keep me coming back. Does anyone else notice they only engage with certain types of conspiracy topics and ignore the rest, or am I just a patterns guy?
You ever tried setting a personal rule to force variety, like replying to one wild theory for every five grounded ones? For me, that just made me realize I’d rather spend my time on stuff with actual records, even if it’s slow digging. The wild ones are fun to read, but there’s no staying power when there’s nothing to check.
