Hot take: I started keeping a log of every claim with no date on it and it broke 3 of my favorite videos
Got tired of arguing with my brother about a doc we watched, so I made a simple rule: if a claim has no date, name, or place, I write it on a list instead of repeating it. In 2 weeks I filled a whole page just from one channel I like, stuff like "scientists say" with nothing behind it. My list has 14 entries now and the weird part is the ones with real dates and names almost always turn out fine. Anyone else tried keeping a list like this, and did it wreck any channels for you?
my buddy did something like this after a podcast kept saying "studies show" every five minutes. he started writing down each one and googling it later, and like 8 out of 10 either didn't exist or said the opposite of what the host claimed. the two that held up both had a researcher's name and a year attached, which kinda proves your point. he still listens to the show but now he yells at his phone a lot lol.
