JFK files in 2025 still hit different than the 1992 release
I compared the newest batch from last month to the 1992 dump on the National Archives site. The old files were redacted to hell, maybe 30 percent readable. The new ones have actual agent names and a memo about a CIA cable from Mexico City that never made the first release. Is anyone else digging through the raw scans or are we all just waiting for the podcast summaries?
Grab the OCR text files instead of the scans, way easier to search for names like "Mexico City" and cross reference the 1992 index. That cable memo is worth chasing down the attachments, the good stuff is always buried in the last pages.
