My barber in San Antonio bet me $50 that the fluoride debate would flip my cousin, and he was right
My cousin Ray was the most stubborn guy I know, swore for 8 years that water fluoridation was a straight up mind control plot by the government. My barber Luis, who cuts hair and reads three newspapers a day, told me back in March that Ray would come around within 6 months if I just mailed him one county water report instead of arguing. I did it, and sure enough Ray called me 4 months later saying the numbers on that 2015 report from Bexar County did not match what he had been reading online. He still does not trust the CDC, but he stopped buying bottled water for his kids, which is about a $600 a year change for him. Luis says most stubborn folks change when you hand them a piece of paper, not a lecture. Has anyone else gotten a family member to flip on something just by mailing documents instead of talking?
