The leaky basement mystery that ate my whole weekend
I spent two days chasing a damp corner in my basement that turned out to be a cracked downspout pipe buried under the flower bed, not the foundation like every forum said. After renting a $90 camera scope and digging three test holes, my neighbor walks over and points at the gutter outlet where water was pooling. It took about 14 total hours for what a plumber would've seen in five minutes. Has anyone else had a home 'conspiracy' where all the obvious suspects were innocent?
