The YouTube skeptic who swore 5G caused the Vegas bird die-off, I checked his sources
Some guy named Dave in the comments kept pushing that 5G towers near the strip were frying the birds in September. I spent 3 hours pulling FCC records and wildlife reports, turns out it was a heat dome and a disease outbreak. Why do people trust a random video edit over actual county data, has anyone else wasted a whole night chasing a debunked lead?

Hold up, I see this differently though. Dave might be a knob, but he's not totally wrong about people checking sources sloppily. I dug into the same FCC stuff and found the 5G tower records only go back to like 2021, so anyone claiming they can prove a link from that data is full of it on both sides. The heat dome and disease reports are solid, sure, but the county wildlife data has gaps too, they only count birds people actually find and report, so the real number might be way higher than what they say. So when you call it a debunked lead, I get it, but you're trusting one set of incomplete records over another incomplete set. The bigger issue is that nobody, including Dave or the county, has the full picture, so acting like you spent 3 hours and cracked the case feels a bit smug to me.
