Trying to figure out the whole 'flat earth' thing for a debate...

My buddy bet me $50 I couldn't win a debate against his friend who's a hardcore flat earther. I figured it would be easy, just a couple hours of research to get the facts straight. I started last Thursday looking up basic stuff like gravity and satellite photos. But then I fell down this rabbit hole of their arguments... things like 'why don't we feel the spin' and 'where's the curve.' I spent three whole days, like over 20 hours, watching their videos and reading their forums just to understand their points well enough to counter them. It was way more complex than I thought, with all their own 'science' and diagrams. I finally put together a solid case, but man, it took way longer than the single evening I planned. Has anyone else had to prep for a debate like this and found it took way more time than you budgeted?
