Last Saturday I sat down with my uncle Ray at his place in Toledo and went through a 2 hour flat earth video clip by clip. I pulled up NASA footage, showed him how ships disappear hull first over the horizon, even did the stick shadow experiment in his backyard at noon. After all that he just shrugged and said the government pays every pilot and sailor to keep quiet, which makes no sense because thats millions of people. I realized in that moment that some debates are not about facts at all, they are about who you trust. Has anyone actually changed a family members mind on something like this, or do you just learn to drop it?
