Renting a lift instead of buying one saved my butt on a job in Ohio

I was dead set on buying a used scissor lift for our crew, but the rental quote came back at $340 a week and I finally saw the math on maintenance and storage. It broke down twice last month and the rental company swapped it out in a day, has anyone else switched to renting gear they thought they had to own?
