Shelled out $1,200 for a drone survey on a 5-acre lot and it caught a drainage issue my eye missed in 20 minutes.

The cost stung at first but that one find saved me from a $15k repair down the line after the first big rain hit the site anyone else had a high tech tool pay off when your gut told you not to buy it?

Right?? Man that’s a solid return on investment. It’s wild how often we cheap out on the thing that saves us from the bigger headache, isn’t it? I feel like that’s true for so much stuff these days, not just big projects. Like when people skip the $30 oil change and end up paying for a whole new engine down the road. Paying a little more upfront for a tool or a check just seems to be the way things are going if you actually want to sleep at night.

Exactly, I had to replace a whole HVAC unit once because I skipped a $150 tune-up. @claire_davis31 preaches the truth.

@wyatt135 maybe it's not always that serious though.
