I was fighting with a string line and a bubble level on a commercial build outside Austin last month. Kept losing the grade on a 40 foot wall, so I grabbed a self-leveling laser from the supply house. Cost me $300 and I was skeptical since my crew is old school. But we set that wall dead on in half a day, and the inspector didn't flag a single thing. My guys still joke about it, but they all want one on the next job now. Anyone else had a tool that felt too pricey until it saved you a redo?
