That $900 drainage fix that only lasted one winter in Boise
I paid a crew to install a french drain around my rental foundation last fall, and by March the pipe was clogged with silt. The contractor never put in a filter sock, which is a $40 part that would have saved me the whole redo. I ended up renting a mini excavator myself for $280 and fixed it in a weekend. Anyone else skip the cheap accessories on a big job and pay double later?
