Walked a Reno in Portland and spotted a stud bay hack worth stealing
I was checking out a friend's kitchen remodel in the Pearl District last Tuesday, just tagging along to see how the GC handled the tile backsplash. What caught me was how they pre-drilled every stud bay for electrical before drywall went up, even ones they weren't using yet. That saved maybe 3 hours later when the sparky showed up, no cutting through finished walls. Have any of you tried labeling empty bays like that on your own jobs, or does it just slow down the crew?
