Went to a job site in Austin last week and all the lumber was still wrapped in plastic
I showed up for a framing walkthrough and the crew was pulling 2x4s out of the wrapper with moisture beads running down them. Three days of rain before that and nobody thought to uncover the pile. Has anyone else dealt with a supplier who just leaves stuff sealed up in wet weather?

Pull the plastic off right away like @king.eric said, or you're asking for mold and warped studs.

That whole "moisture beads running down them" line got me. Last spring we had a shipment of plywood delivered during a monsoon and the forklift driver just stacked it in the lot still wrapped. We didn't open it for two weeks because the rest of the materials hadn't shown up yet. When we finally cut the plastic the bottom sheets were warped so bad they looked like potato chips. The supplier tried to say it was our fault for not storing them properly. I told them if they deliver lumber in a sealed plastic bag during a flood, that's on them. Some of these companies just don't think about the real world conditions on a job site.

Did you open the plastic to let them breathe or just leave them sealed in a swamp?
