DAE think a $600 used job trailer with no title was a steal or a trap?

Bought a 6x10 enclosed trailer off a guy in Modesto two months back for $600, and the title paperwork was a mess, but I hauled 40 bundles of shingles with it just fine. The other side of it is my insurance guy says a trailer with a bonded title is almost untouchable if anything goes sideways on the road, and I'd be out the whole thing plus whatever I hurt. So do I pay the $200 to get it sorted, or run it until it dies and scrap it? Curious if anyone here has dealt with a sketchy trailer title and what it actually cost you in the end.

Insurance guy is right, one wreck and that title headache becomes your whole problem.
