Finally figured out why my balayage kept banding on level 4 hair

Took me about 8 months of trial and error. Kept seeing those harsh lines at the regrowth area. Turns out I was pulling my foils too tight on coarse texture. Also wasn't saturating the ends enough. Switched to a loose weave and lighter hand on the bleach. My client in Austin noticed the difference right away. She said it looked like the color moved instead of sitting on top. Has anyone else fought with banding on darker bases?
