Fixed my foils with a dollar store spray bottle, wish I knew this sooner
My highlight sections kept bleeding together during processing, no matter how careful I was with the brush. After three messy appointments this month, I grabbed a $1.29 continuous mist sprayer and filled it with plain water. Turns out lightly misting the foil pack before folding it seals the edges way better than pressing them down. I tested it on my own head and then on a client last Thursday, zero bleed lines for the first time in weeks. Anyone else tried wetting foils like this or is there a better trick I'm missing?

Heard a educator at a class last year mention something close to this, she called it "damp sealing" and said she did it with a regular spray bottle too. She swore it stopped the capillary action that pulls toner under the foil edge, which basically lines up with what you found. I tried it a few times after that class but I think my mist was too heavy, I was basically soaking the foil and it got messy. Sounds like you nailed the light touch though, a fine mist is key. Might have to steal your dollar store idea since I gave up on mine after the first try.
