Had a client come back after six months with a full inch of healthy regrowth

She had severe breakage along her hairline from tight ponytails. We switched her to a silk scrunchie and a protein treatment every four weeks. The difference from March to now is night and day. Anyone else have a go-to fix for traction alopecia from styling habits?

Wish I could say the same. My hairline is still recovering from my "tight bun for zoom calls" phase last year. I looked like a stressed out tennis ball.

Silk scrunchies were a total game changer for me too. My edges were looking real thin from daily slicked back buns. I started doing scalp massages with a few drops of rosemary oil mixed into my regular conditioner, just a couple times a week. The combo of less tension and that extra care brought my baby hairs back like crazy. It takes patience but seeing that regrowth is so worth it.

Mix rosemary oil with a carrier oil instead of conditioner for better results. Conditioner can dilute it too much and might not let your scalp absorb it properly. Try jojoba or coconut oil to really get those benefits.
