Had to pick between a $1200 booth rental downtown or a 50% commission split at a new salon. Took the split and I'm already regretting it.

And the salon keeps raising that split goal too.

Ugh, that split sounds brutal. You gotta be bringing in a TON of clients for that to ever beat a flat booth rent.

The 60/40 split my old shop had meant you needed to clear $2500 just to match a $1000 booth rent. Most stylists never hit those numbers consistently. You end up working harder just to break even on the rent you could have paid flat.
