Hit 500 haircuts this month and finally felt like a real stylist

I hit 500 haircuts for the month yesterday and it kind of blew my mind. I've been doing this for about 2 years now and never really kept track until a coworker mentioned their numbers. Seeing that number made me realize how much repetition really drills technique into your hands. The last 50 cuts felt way faster and cleaner than the first 100 did. Has anyone else had a weird milestone like that where an arbitrary number made you feel more legit?

Wrist wraps with a thumb loop changed the game for me when I was pushing high volume days. I also started alternating between cutting with my right hand and switching to my left for comb-outs and sectioning to give my main hand a break. Little ergonomic tweaks like that make a huge difference when you're running 20+ cuts daily.

Wait, 500 haircuts in one month?! How is that even possible without your hands falling off? That's like 25 cuts a day if you're working 6 days a week, that's insane. I've been doing this for about a year and a half and I get cap at like 15-18 a day max before my wrist starts complaining. Congrats though, that's a serious grind.

Yo @nguyen.blake those ergonomic tweaks are no joke. My wrist has been sending me passive aggressive text messages lately so I might have to try that thumb loop thing. Maybe I can convince my hand we're on a coffee break together so it stops complaining about the next 25 cuts. That 500 number is wild but honestly I just kept telling myself "one more haircut and then you can eat that gas station hot dog" like some kind of weird reward system.
