I just hit 500 'can you fix this at home' questions from clients
It happened yesterday when a regular asked if she could use super glue to reattach a broken acrylic nail tip. I started keeping a tally on a sticky note six months ago as a joke, but the number got real. The wildest one was a guy who tried to dye his beard with leftover box dye from his wife and wanted to know how to get the blue out. It's funny but also shows how little people know about what we actually do. Has anyone else hit a weird client question milestone that made you laugh?

My tally is full of people trying to fix gel polish with clear top coat.

Oh my god, 500 is actually insane lol. I feel this so hard, it's like a secret tally of how many times we have to gently tell people not to superglue things to themselves. The blue beard guy is going to haunt me, that's a new fear unlocked. Honestly it just proves we're out here doing important work, saving people from themselves one weird question at a time.

Wait, five hundred separate incidents of telling people not to superglue themselves? That number is actually kind of scary. It means someone, somewhere, is doing that like every single day. What are they even trying to stick on? The blue beard image is bad, but now I'm picturing someone with a phone glued to their hand.
