I thought those $300 Japanese shears were just hype until my mentor let me try hers for a full balayage service.

The way they sliced through wet sections without any pull or drag completely changed the feel of the cut and convinced me the investment might be worth it for the right clientele, so has anyone found a more affordable brand that comes close to that precision?

My barber uses $30 shears from the beauty supply and his fades are perfect... seems like a skill issue sometimes.

Wait, you're telling me a single pair of scissors costs three hundred bucks? That's more than my rent, man. I can't even imagine what kind of magic they put in those things to make them worth that.
