I thought those $300 Japanese shears were just hype until my mentor let me try hers for a full balayage service.

The way they sliced through wet sections without any pull or drag completely changed the feel of the cut and convinced me the investment might be worth it for the right clientele, so has anyone found a more affordable brand that comes close to that precision?

My barber uses $30 shears from the beauty supply and his fades are perfect... seems like a skill issue sometimes.
