Pro tip: stop overworking the bleach on fine hair

I was watching a girl at my station last week fry her client's hair because she kept checking the bleach every 5 minutes and reapplying more. Fine hair processes way faster than you think, usually done in 20-25 minutes max with 20 volume developer. Her client ended up with gummy strands and I wanted to say something but didn't want to step on toes. Anyone else see new stylists making this mistake with fine hair?

a little gummy texture just part of the learning curve" is crazy. That's someone's hair they have to live with for months, not a practice mannequin.

Feel for you, that's a tough spot to be in especially when you're trying to help without overstepping. @foster.jordan I get that everyone makes mistakes but gummy hair isn't really a harmless learning moment for the client. Honestly watching someone ruin fine hair is painful because that damage takes months to grow out and fix.
