PSA: A regular told me my blowouts were too hot and I'm so glad she spoke up

For years, I just cranked my dryer to high heat and went fast, thinking it saved time. Then a client, Sarah, said her scalp felt fried and her ends looked crispy after every visit. She asked if I could use cooler air, especially at the end. I tried it on her next appointment, and her hair had way more shine and zero frizz. Now I finish every blowout on a medium setting and the results are so much better. Anyone else adjust their heat technique after feedback?

My old stylist used to go full volcano on my head, no wonder my hair felt like straw. I just thought I had bad hair.

We blame ourselves for bad service too often.

Took me years to realize a bad haircut was the barber's fault, not my weird head shape. Just assumed my skull was built wrong. Some professionals are just bad at their jobs.

My friend Jenna went to the same salon for like 5 years and always left with a burning scalp. She figured that's just how blowouts felt. Then she moved and went to a new girl who used medium heat and even did a cool shot at the end. Her hair actually had shine for the first time after a blowout. She said she felt kinda stupid for not speaking up sooner.
